authentication

authentication (WPA/WPA2)

For wireless networks transmitting cardholder data or connected to the cardholder
data environment, implement industry best practices for strong encryption of data
transmission and authentication (for example, IEEE 802.11i).
All newly implemented wireless networks are prohibited from using WEP as of March
31st, 2009. For current wireless implementations, it is prohibited to use WEP after
June 30, 2010.
