Electrical Connections
WARNING
Disconnect power before opening any enclosure and practice accepted
Lockout/Tagout procedures when working on the system.
The RO system is shipped pre-wired as shown in the electrical wiring diagrams
provided in the Appendix. Please refer to these drawings during installation.
The only on-site wiring required is the following:
1)
Power Connection
Wire between the power source (service) and the power disconnect in the high
voltage control panel. See High Voltage Panel Electrical Wiring Diagram in
the Appendix.
CAUTION
Do not connect the system to a power source that will experience severe
voltage surges, or damage to the system may occur.
2)
Call for Water Connection
Wire from the distribution tank level switch (or from a secondary PLC) to the
Call for Water
connections in the RO main control panel. Refer to the Main
Control Panel Electrical Wiring Diagram in the Appendix for correct terminals.
CAUTION
Wiring modifications and/or PLC program changes are not to be made without
prior authorization from U.S. Filter, and all such changes shall be documented
so that drawings, program documents and operating manuals can be revised to
reflect changes made.
