Installation on a Swing Assembly
1. Attach both snap hooks in two appropriate brackets on the assembly.
2. Pull the two ropes half way through each snap hook so that the midpoints of the
cords are located in the hooks.
3. Attach the handles:
a. The handled have four holes - two at each end. Start with one end and thread
one end of the rope from above and through the inner hole. Move the handle
down so that it rests approximately 1.5 meters from the cord.
b. Twist the rope half a turn around the handle and thread it from above through
the outer hole.
c. Then repeat with the other end of the rope and thread it the same way through
the hole at the other end of the handle.
d. Then repeat steps 3 a-c with the other handle and the other rope.
4. Attach the swing:
a. Hold the swing so that the arched ends point upward.
b. Thread one of the ends of the rope from above and down through the holes on
one side of the swing and tie sturdy knows on both ends of the rope on the
bottom of the swing when you have the swing at the desired height.
c. Repeat steps 4 b with the other rope to attach it to the other end of the swing.
Be careful and try to get the knots at as even a height as possible.
5. Attach the self-adhesive slipguards onto the upper side of the swing.
6. Adjust the handles:
a. How high the handles should rest depends on the height of the person swin-
ing. We recommend that they be placed between waist height and shoulder
height when the person stands up and swings.
b. Adjust the height of the handle by loosening the rope loop around the handle
and then moving the handle to the desired position before tightening the loop
again.
c. Please note that you cannot swing while you are adjusting the height of the
handles.
Tip!
If there are long, loose rope ends hanging under the swing after
you install it, you can cut these off, and then prevent the rope
ends from fraying by either taping them with silver tape or by
carefully melting the end of the ropes with a lighter. Please note
that this affects the possibilities of adjusting the height of the
swing.
