This quick start guide provides operating instructions for the TS-100
Tape Splicer.
The intended use of the
TS-100 is to combine partial reels, to add leader/trailer or to splice without unnecessary empty pockets.
Use of this
equipment in any other way is not recommended.

Operation
1.
Cut Carrier Tape.
Using a scissors, cut the carrier tape directly between two pockets.
2.
Place Splice Tape on Tape Block.
Place the splice tape on the tape block with the silver side down. Remove the
paper backing from the splice tape to expose the adhesive.
3.
Place Carrier Tape on Tape Block.
Place the two pieces of carrier tape on the tape block using the registration
pins to align the two ends as close as possible.
NOTE: A large gap, or overlap between the two pieces of carrier tape is not
conducive to a good splice.
