4 Care and maintenance

Cleaning

▸ Clean the metal grease filters in the dishwasher.
▸ Select an «intensive» or «heavy» wash programme with a warm prewash.

Cleaning may cause the metal grease filters to become discoloured. However, this
will not affect the functioning of the filters in any way.

If no dishwasher is available:
▸ Clean the metal grease filters in the sink with hot water and washing-up detergent.
▸ Soak the metal grease filters in the sink in hot water and washing-up detergent for

about two hours and then clean with a washing-up brush. Rinse well with clean cold
water.

Fitting the grease filters

▸ Insert the metal grease filters into the slots at the back.
▸ Push the grip back.
▸ Swing metal grease filters up and engage in position.

4.4 

Replacing the activated charcoal filter

The activated charcoal filter needs replacing after an operating period of 4 to 6 months
(or more frequently with intensive use). Activated charcoal filters cannot be washed or re-
generated.

Activated charcoal filters are only used in the recirculation mode 

. The spent ac-

tivated charcoal filters can be disposed of in the household waste or at a suitable
recycling point.

▸ Push the grip back and carefully

pull the grease filter

 down and out

of the fixture.

▸ To remove the activated charcoal fil-

ter

turn it clockwise, unlock and

remove from below.

▸ To install the new activated charcoal

filter

, turn it anti-clockwise. This

locks and fixes the filter.

▸ Check that the switch
