Operating the appliance

3.1 

Using for the first time

Appliance configuration

The appliance is for use in the extraction mode. The appliance is set up by default for
use in the 

extraction mode

. The cleaning interval for the metal grease filters is 20 operat-

ing hours.

Setting up the appliance for use in the extraction mode

▸ Switch the appliance and the illumination off.
▸ Hold the 

 button depressed for 3 seconds.

The 

 display symbol and, depending on the cleaning interval setting set, 

 , 

or   flash.

▸

While they are flashing:

 Hold the 

 button depressed again for 3 seconds.

–

The 

 display symbol and, depending on the cleaning interval setting set, 

 , 

or   are no longer displayed.

The appliance is now configured for the extraction mode and the saturation indic-
ator for the activated charcoal filter is 

deactivated

.

Setting up the appliance for use in the recirculation mode

▸ Switch the appliance and the illumination off.
▸ Hold the 

 button depressed for 3 seconds.

The 

 display symbol and, depending on the cleaning interval setting set, 

 , 

or   flash.

▸ To change the cleaning interval for the activated charcoal filter: Touch the 

 button

repeatedly until the corresponding display symbol 

 + 

 ,   or   flashes (see table).

The setting selected will be activated after 5 seconds.

The 

 display symbol and, depending on the cleaning interval setting set, 

 , 

or   are no longer displayed.

The appliance is now configured for the recirculation mode and the saturation indic-
ator for the activated charcoal filter is
