4 Operating the appliance

The settings for a cooking zone can only be changed if the corresponding selec-
tion indicator is illuminated.

Once the selection indicator goes out, the cooking zone must be selected anew.

Switching a cooking zone off

▸ Press the   button of the required cooking zone.

The selection point of this cooking zone is illuminated.

▸ Touch power level   on the slider.

If no other entry is made and the other cooking zones are switched off, the appli-
ance switches off after 10 seconds.

Residual heat indicator

After a cooking zone is switched off,   remains illuminated as long as there is a risk of
burns.

Melting function

With the melting function, butter, chocolate or honey, for instance, can be gently melted
at approx. 40 °C.

Switching the melting function on

▸ Hold the slider down between   and   for 1 second.

The   symbol for the corresponding zone illuminates.

Switching the melting function off

▸ Use the slider to set any power level.
