Disconnect the power supply from the appliance, empty it, if necessary defrost it, then clean it. Keep
the doors open slightly to enable air to flow in. This prevents the formation of mold and noxious odors.
WHENEVER THE APPLIANCE
IS NOT IN USE
Keep the doors closed to enable the food in the fridge to stay cold for as long as possible.
Never refreeze foodstuffs, even if only partially defrosted. In the event of an extended power cut, the
power failure alarm may also be triggered (on electronic models).
IN THE EVENT OF A POWER CUT
Fresh food and drink can be stored in the chiller compartment.
The chiller compartment defrosts automatically.
The occasional appearance on the internal back panel of the chiller compartment indicates that the
automatic defrost function is operating. The condensate (thaw water) automatically flows through a
drain aperture and into a receptacle in which it evaporates.
On certain models, the product can be equipped with a special ‘Zero Degree’ compartment suitable for
the storage of fresh meat and fish.
Note:
Ambient temperature, frequency of door opening and installation location of the appliance are
all factors that can affect the interior temperature in both areas. Note these factors when setting the
temperature.
Note:
Under very humid ambient conditions, condensate can form inside the chiller compartment,
especially on glass trays. In this case, it is advisable to cover receptacles containing fluids
(e.g. a pot containing consommé), and to wrap foods containing a high proportion of fluid (e.g.
vegetables).
Removal of the vegetable drawer
Pull the drawer out as far as possible, grip it and lift it out.
To simplify the task of filling the vegetable drawer, it may be easier to empty the two lower trays in the
(and to remove them), then to lift out the drawer.
