7.2 Cleaning
This chapter does not describe how to decontaminate the product.
Simple cleaning and care measures are described here.
ð
Before cleaning, switch off the pumping unit.
CAUTION
Risk of burning due to hot surfaces
An elevated exhaust gas temperature can lead to hot sur-
faces on the instrument and on attached components,
such as glass flasks. The temperatures that are produced
during operation may cause burns.
Ø
Use protection against accidental contact, especially
when the exhaust temperature is persistently high.
Ø
Allow the instrument to cool before you empty the glass
flask or begin performing maintenance tasks.
Ø
For tasks that must be performed during operation, use
your personal protection equipment, e.g., heat-resistant
safety gloves.
7.2.1 Housing surface
Cleaning the surface
Clean soiled surfaces with a clean, slightly damp cloth. We recom-
mend water or a mild soap solution to moisten the cloth.
