Setting wing section horizontal alignment
Figure 2.13
The horizontal alignment of the wing sections must be set so that an even working depth and level
of compacting is achieved. This setting is done by adjusting the wing folding ram piston rods.
NOTE!
This is a two-stage process - basic setting and final adjustment.
Basic setting
Adjust the wing sections so that they are parallel to the base.
1 Place the implement over a flat base and fold out the wing sections. Press the wing folding rams
out to their end positions. Do not lower the implement to the ground!
2 Check whether the frame tubes and/or roller is/are parallel to the base.
3 If adjustment is required, lower the implement to the ground so that it rests on the discs and
roller.
4 Adjust the wing folding ram piston rods by undoing the lock nuts (A) and adjusting the piston
rods (B) in or out. The rams must not come loose from the implement. The rams may be moved
in or out slightly in order to facilitate adjustment.
!
Distance (C) must be the same for all wing folding rams.
5 Lift the implement from the ground and check the setting.
6 Repeat points 2 - 5 until you obtain a satisfactory setting.
NOTE!
Do not screw out the piston rod end more than 45 mm.
NOTE!
Do not go under the implement if it is only secured in position by the tractor's three point
lift!
