2.10 Installing the Control Box in the tractor
Figure 2.11
Mount the Control Box securely using the screws on the back of the Box. Place the Box so that it
is clearly within the range of vision of a forward-facing driver.
NOTE!
Check for hidden cables before drilling holes in the tractor cab.
Connect the cables: Brown to positive (+) and blue to earth (-).
NOTE!
The polarity must not be reversed. If the tractor has an electric socket in the cab, use this.
If there is no socket, connection must be made using an extra cable, preferably 6 mm
2
. Do not use
a cigarette lighter socket as the current requirement may be as high as 20 A. It is important to
make a secure connection since poor contact will cause malfunction.
Make sure that the connecting cable to the drill is not trapped under the rear window of the tractor
as this may cause damage. Use a hatch or a hole. Clamp the cable securely onto the tractor to pro-
tect the Control Box from damage if the driver forgets to unscrew the connecting cable when un-
hitching the drill.
NOTE!
Ensure that the Control Box is switched off until the bout markers are fitted.
2.10.1 RD 400 - 450 F
The drill can now be unfolded. Check that the Control Box is switched off.
NOTE!
The following harrow and bout markers etc may be secured to the wheels or the platform
during transport and must be released before unfolding.
Before unfolding, see ”3.4 Changing between transport position and working position, RD 400-
450 F” on page 30.
Unfolding must always be performed with the drill fully raised. Release the
locking devices before unfolding.
