Inline system diagnosis
The diagnostics segment offers the option of an HF-technical diagnostic of a mobile SMGM system consisting
of a mobile SMGM module and the two mobile couplers. For this purpose, a mechanically and electrically de-
fined SMGM rail segment must be provided. During the installation of the system, this rail segment must be
measured and the limit values must be determined.
Prerequisites for the diagnostics management:
•
Using a system controller - SMGM-SC.
•
HF connection of the SMGM-SC must be connected to the SMGM diagnosis segment.
•
Limit value determination while commissioning the system.
•
The diagnostics segment must be restricted mechanically to mounting a mobile SMGM module and its two
mobile couplers! Only one mobile system may be logged in on the diagnostics segment during the diag-
nostics.
TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS!
Information on the diagnosis segment
The use of system controller (SMGM-SC) is mandatory for system diagnostics with the
diagnostics segment.
A calibrated SMGM segment (diagnostics segment) including the determination of the
limit value of all mobile participants is necessary for inline system diagnosis.
The diagnosis of the mobile system delivers three key values for the determination of the communication qual-
ity from the stationary interface to the mobile interface.
Key values:
•
Signal strength: stationary SMGM module
•
Signal strength: mobile SMGM module - ANT1 interface
•
Signal strength: mobile SMGM module - ANT2 interface
