6 Start-up
6.1 Switching on the product
▶
Plug the product's mains plug into a
plug socket.
◁
The product enters normal operating
mode.
6.2 Product status
The product has an acoustic signal trans-
mitter and three status LEDs.
Signals may be transmitted for the follow-
ing statuses:

Test status
–
Operating status (normal operating
mode)
–
Alarm status
–
Fault status

6.3 Testing to ensure that the
product works correctly
1. Press the test button once to check
that the status LEDs and the acoustic
signal transmitter are working correctly.
◁
The red alarm status LED lights up
and the acoustic signal sounds in
intervals for 2-3 seconds.
◁
After a pause of one second, the
yellow fault status LED lights up
and the acoustic signal then sounds
continuously for 2-3 seconds.
◁
The green operating status LED
lights up.
2. Press the test button once and then
press it again after one second in order
to check that the power supply to the
heat generator has been interrupted.
◁
The red alarm status LED lights up
and the acoustic signal sounds in
intervals for 2-3 seconds. The power
supply is interrupted for 20 seconds.
◁
After a pause of one second, the
yellow fault status LED lights up
and the acoustic signal then sounds
continuously for 2-3 seconds.

The green operating status LED
lights up.

7 Handing the product over
to the operator
▶
Inform the operator how to handle the
product.
▶
In particular, draw attention to the safety
information which the operator must
follow.
▶
Record the replacement date for the
product on the corresponding sticker.
▶
Inform the end user of the necessity to
have the product replaced after eight
years and point out to them the sticker
with the replacement date.
▶
Pass all of the instructions and docu-
mentation for the product to the oper-
ator for safe-keeping.
