5 Installation
To install and operate the product, the
following prerequisites are required:
–
An existing room ventilation system or
an outdoor-air opening
–
A fire damper

When installing the fire damper, ob-
serve the national regulations, stand-
ards, directives and laws.
5.1 Determining the installation
location
1. When determining the installation loc-
ation, take into consideration the pro-
duct's sound power level.
2. Take the spigot diameter into consider-
ation.

3. Take the pipe diameter into considera-
tion.

5.2 Installing the extract-air pipe
1. Install an extract-air pipe on site at the
designated position on the wall or in
the ceiling.
2. Ensure that the power supply cable is
not damaged when drilling through the
wall or ceiling.
5.3 Installing the fan unit
1. Take into consideration the correct
routing of the power supply cable.
2. Ensure that the power supply cable is
not damaged.

3. Open the cover for the front panel.
4. Undo the screw and remove the front
panel.
5. Undo the screw on the fan unit.

6. Push the three latching lugs together
and pull the fan unit out of the housing.
