Before calling a technician
You may not need to call a technician if you consult the tables on the following pages.

The dishwasher does not
start
A fuse has blown or the
circuit breaker has tripped.
• Replace the fuse or reset
the circuit breaker.
• Remove all other
appliances that use
the same circuit as the
dishwasher.
The appliance is not turned
on.
• Check that the
dishwasher is switched
on and the door is closed.
Make sure the power cord
is properly connected to the
wall socket.
The water pressure is low.
• Check that the water
supply is correctly
connected and the water
tap is open.
The dishwasher door is not
closed correctly.
• Make sure to close the
door by clicking the latch.
The water in the dishwasher
does not drain away
The drain hose is clogged or
kinked.
• Check the drain hose.
The filter is blocked.
• Check the pre-filter.
The kitchen sink is blocked.
• Check that the kitchen
sink drains properly.
• If the kitchen sink is
blocked, you will need a
plumber rather than a
dishwasher repairman.

Foam at the bottom of the
tub
The detergent is not
suitable.
• Only use a detergents
that are specifically for use
in dishwashers to avoid
foaming. If this happens,
open the dishwasher door
to let the foam evaporate.
Add 4 litres of cold water
to the dishwasher tub.
Close the dishwasher door
and select any wash cycle.
Initially the dishwasher will
drain the water. Open the
door once the emptying
phase has been completed
and check whether the
foam has disappeared.
• Repeat if necessary.
Rinse agent has been
spilled.
• Always clean up any
spilled rinse agent
immediately.
The inside of the tub is
stained
A detergent containing a
colouring dye may have
been used.
• Make sure your detergent
does not contain colouring
dyes.
White film on the inner
surface
Mineral content in hard
water.
• To clean the inside of
the appliance, use a damp
sponge with dishwasher
detergent and wear rubber
gloves.
• To avoid the risk of
foaming, never use
cleaning agents other than
dishwasher detergent.
