Protective measures
Basic precautions should always be followed when using
electrical appliances including the following:
• Read all the instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Close supervision is required when appliances are used by
or in the vicinity of children.
• To protect against electric shocks, do not immerse the
cord, plug, or any parts of the oven in water or any other
liquid.
• Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or
counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not operate an appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after it has malfunctioned or has been damaged in some
way. Return appliances to the nearest Authorised Service
Centre for inspection, repair, or adjustment.
• The use of non-recommended accessory attachments may
cause hazards or injury.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven or microwave oven.
• Keep at least four inches free on all sides of the oven
to allow for adequate air circulation when the oven is in
operation.
• Unplug from socket when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow the oven to cool before adding or removing parts and
before cleaning.
• To disconnect, turn the control to OFF and remove the
plug. Always hold the plug and never pull the cord.
• Extreme caution must be exercised when moving an
appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Do not cover any part of the oven with metal foil.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads as pieces can break
off the pad and come into contact with electrical parts,
creating a risk of electric shock.
• Never leave the appliances unattended while broiling or
toasting.
• Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted
inside a toaster oven as they may create a fire or present an
electric shock risk.
