Tips for saving energy
• The appliance should be placed in the coolest part of the room as far as possible from
appliances which product heat or heating pipes and away from direct sunlight.
• Leave hot food to cool down to ambient temperature before placing it in the appliance.
Overheating the appliance forces the compressor to operate for longer periods. Food which
is frozen very slowly may deteriorate in quality or go off.
• Make sure that food is well wrapped and wipe down containers before placing them in the
appliance. This precaution will reduce the formation of ice inside the appliance.
• The storage tray in the appliance should not be lined with aluminium foil, wax paper or kitchen
roll. This items restrict the circulation of cold air, which makes the appliance less efficient.
• Organise and mark food so that you do not have to open the door as often or for as long
while searching for something. Remove as many food items as necessary in one go and then
close the door as quickly as possible.
