Heater safety features
• For safety reasons, this heater is equipped with a tip-over switch. This switch automatically
shuts down the heater if it is not in an upright position while in operation. The heater
will resume normal operation as soon as the heater is returned to its upright position.
• The heater has a built-in overheating protection mechanism. A safety switch will turn off
the power if the heater overheats (e.g. if the air inlet/outlet gratings are totally or partially
blocked, the fan rotates slowly, or the fan motor stops). Turn the power dial to the
OFF
position and the temperature dial to the
MIN
position. Unplug the plug from the mains
socket. Wait 30 minutes for the heater to cool down.
• Remove the source of overheating (e.g. a blockage in the vent holes/grilles or excessive
dust or dirt on the unit).
• Turn the heater back on.
NOTE:
If overheating continues or the unit repeatedly malfunctions, return the
heater to an approved service centre.
