Use
Unpack the appliance Remove all the labels from the product Please check that it is whole
and in good condition If the appliance is damaged or malfunctions, do not use it and return
it to your dealer or service centre
Keep all packaging out of the reach of children Accidents can occur as a result of children
playing with the packaging materials
• Place the appliance on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface
• The switch must be in the “Off” position Plug in the appliance
• Before first use, heat the appliance for 10 minutes to fix the protective varnish on the
plate and give it maximum resistance Then turn it off and let it cool down Your appliance
is now ready for use
• Use only thick, flat-bottomed pots and pans designed for ceramic hobs Use cooking
utensils that are slightly larger than or the same size as the hot plate If the diameter
of the pot or pan is smaller than the diameter of the hob, there is a risk of heat loss
Cooking utensils that are too large lead to inefficiency and uneven heating It is also
advisable to use a lid whenever possible to save energy
• Do not use round-bottomed woks, wok holders or similar curved-bottomed cooking
utensils, as this may cause the hob to overheat and damage the appliance
• Always place cooking utensils in the centre of the hot plate to cook fast and efficiently
• To heat the plate, turn the control knob to the right to the desired position (0 = Off, 1
to 3 = low heat/low intensity and from 4 to MAX = high heat/high intensity) Adjust the
temperature during cooking if necessary
• The indicator lights come on when the plate starts to heat up Once the temperature has
been reached, the indicator lights go out
Note: During use, the indicator lights may come on and off intermittently This is a normal
feature and not a malfunction
• The two plates work independently Each is controlled by its own temperature control knob
• After use, turn the thermostat knob to the “0 (= OFF)” position and unplug the appliance
• The plate continues to heat up when it is switched off You can use this residual heat to
keep food warm for a short time or to finish cooking
