Technical data
16.1. Diesel burner head
16.1.1.
Fuel
Suitable fuel is the diesel fuel specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Heating oils of class EL (not heating oils of class L) can also be used as
long as they comply with the German standard market quality (acc. DIN
EN 590). There are no negative influences due to additives known.
If fuel is extracted from the vehicle’s tank, follow the additive instructions
issued by the vehicle manufacturer.
If fuel is extracted from a separate fuel tank, a winter diesel fuel must be
used at temperatures below 0°C. The usage of flow improvers is permit-
ted.
When changing to low-temperature fuel, the heater must be operated for
approx. 15 minutes so that the fuel line, filter and fuel pump are filled
with the new fuel.
16.1.2.
Permitted fuels (except heating oils of class EL)
The heater can be operated with bio diesel fuel.
ATTENTION:
When using fuels whose respective application limits are to be ob-
served. If necessary apply appropriate measures (nozzle block
preheater, electrically heated filter).
See respective instructions in the workshop manual.
16.2. Technical data
Except where limit values are specified, these technical data refer to the
usual heater tolerances of ±10% at an ambient temperature of +20°C
and at the rated voltage.
