Manual On/Off Switch
In cases where you want to turn off your fireplace and
cannot do it with the remote control handset (misplaced,
lost, dead batteries, etc.) or if you need to replace the
batteries in the battery box, you can turn off the appliance
with the manual switch located on the left hand side of the
appliance. Remove the left hand side door to access the
switch.
If the 1265WSK Wall switch is installed and the remote
control will not be used, remove the battery from the
handset and store it away.
If you are planning not to use your fireplace for a prolonged
period of time, remove the battery from the remote handset
and turn off the gas valve using
the manual ON/OFF switch.
Pilot/Automatic Shut-off
The remote control system is equipped with safety features allowing it to shut the fire down to pilot or to shut-off the pilot
completely in certain situations. See
Remote Control Operation
section in the following pages for more information.
