Remove and replace the minimum rate
by-pass screw
You can access the by-pass screw
on the valve through the hole in the
lower front panel of the appliance
when the wall fi nish is not applied.
Otherwise, the burner module must
be removed from the appliance.
Remove and replace the minimum
rate by-pass screw from the valve
with the appropriately labelled by-
pass screw—see
Specifi cations
table on page 1. The screw has
a rubber o-ring holding it into the
valve body and may require pry-
ing out or removing the screw with
needle nose pliers.
Reinstall the burner
1. Reinstall the pilot shield and the burner support.
2. Locate the left end of burner within the burner sup-
port and slide the burner to the left while centering it
onto the injector elbow. Fix the burner support screw
at the right end of burner to the burner support
while
pushing the burner to left to ensure tight fi t against
the gasket
.
3. Reconnect the gas inlet pipe to the inlet elbow fi tting
on the valve.
Set and check the manifold pressure
1. Fit a manometer to the manifold pressure test tap
on the valve—see fi gure at right.
2. Light the appliance and turn the control to full input.

3. Adjust the pressure adjustment screw using a small
jeweller’s size fl at blade screwdriver—as shown
below—while the appliance is running at full input
to produce the manifold pressure, as per
Specifi ca-
tions
table on page 1.
4. Turn off the appliance, remove the manometer and
tighten the test tapping screw.
5. Check all the fi ttings for leaks.
Reinstall the fi replace components
To reinstall the components removed for the conversion
or to complete the installation of the fi replace, see the
installation instructions supplied with the appliance.
Fit the conversion labels
1. Fit the conversion label with new specifi cations over
the corresponding specifi cations on the data plate
located at right hand side of the fi replace opening
on a plate marked
Lighting/Operation Instructions
.
2. Fit the label
“This appliance was converted on...
by...”
near the data label fi tted in 1.
3. Fit the label
“This control has been converted...”
on
the left hand side of the appliance near the valve.
