Phone Configuration on web
By click on the “Phone” icon on the left banner, the following page will
display to allow you to set all the phone related configurations.
4.4.1
Prefix
For some specific VoIP system, the IP Phone can call to PSTN / mobile
number and the called number must include the country code, e.g. the
country code of Taiwan is 886, so if want to call a Taipei city call
02-25621234, the called number needed to be 886-2-25621234. But this is
not consistent with the normal dialing behavior. In order to use the normal
dialing behavior, you can set the “My Country Code” value to 886, and
set the “Area Prefix Code” value to 0.
As for the “International Code”, when you want to dial an international
call, the International Code will be removed. E.g., suppose want to make a
call to China, the dialed number will be 002-86-2112341234, the IP Phone
will remove the “International Code” 002, and send the real number of
86-2112341234.
This prefix code implementation is only needed for some specific VoIP
system. Normally, this is not needed, just let all the prefix values be
empty.
