When replacing or installing modules on the SPC system, always ensure that
the mains supply and the battery are disconnected. Ensure that all anti-static
precautions are adhered to when handling connectors, wires, terminals and
PCBs.

Installing the SPCN310
The SPCN310 provides the SPC controller with a GSM interface allowing the user
to send and receive text messages via the mobile network. For a complete
description on the GSM features please consult the SPC Configuration Manual.
The SPCN310 must have a SIM card installed in the unit to operate. The SIM card
must be in the holder before power is applied to the SPC system (see below for
details on installing the SIM card).

Before installing the GSM module onto the SPC controller, ensure that a
functioning SIM card is installed on the module.
To install a SIM card onto the GSM module, slide the SIM card holder flap to the
right, rotate the flap on the SIM card holder to the ‘up’ position and slide the SIM
card down into the slot.
Rotate the flap back to its original position, press and slide to the left to click into
place.
Please make a note of the unlock code for your SIM card as this will be required
when enabling the SIM card on the SPC.

To install the SPCN310 (with SIM card):
1. Ensure the AC mains power and battery backup connections are removed.
2. Insert the mounting pillars (included with the modem) into the four hole
positions on either the primary slot (left) or back-up slot (right) on the
controller.
3. Align the 16-pin female socket over the 16-pin male connector, ensuring that
the holes on the SPCN310 are aligned with the top of the mounting pillars.
4. Firmly but gently press down to secure the module.
5. Power up the SPC controller.
An antenna (supplied with the SPCN310) needs to be attached to the SMA
connector on the GSM module. The antenna can be mounted on the top of the
cabinet using one of the knock-out holes provided. Ensure that the antenna is
unobstructed.
LED Functionality
There are four LEDs on the top of the modem module labelled D1 to D4. These
are used to indicate the status of the modem.
The function of the LEDs is as follows:

Installieren des SPCN310
Das SPCN310 stellt eine GSM-Schnittstelle für den SPC-Controller zur Verfügung,
so dass Benutzer Textmitteilungen über das Mobilfunknetz senden und
empfangen können. Eine umfassende Beschreibung der GSM-Funktionen kann
dem SPC-Konfigurationshandbuch entnommen werden.
Im SPCN310 muss eine SIM-Karte installiert sein, damit das Gerät funktioniert. Die
SIM-Karte muss eingesetzt werden, bevor das SPC-System an den Strom
angeschlossen wird (Einzelheiten zur Installation der SIM-Karte siehe unten).

Vor dem Installieren des GSM-Moduls auf dem SPC-Controller eine
funktionsfähige SIM-Karte in das Modul einstecken.
Zum Installieren einer SIM-Karte auf dem GSM-Modul die Halteklappe der SIM-
Karte nach rechts schieben und aufklappen, und anschließend die SIM-Karte in
den Schlitz einstecken.
Die Klappe wieder schließen, andrücken und nach links schieben, bis sie einrastet.
Die PIN der SIM-Karte notieren, da diese benötigt wird, um die SIM-Karte im SPC
zu aktivieren.

Installieren des SPCN310 (mit SIM-Karte):
1. Sicherstellen, dass die Anschlüsse von Wechselspannung und Akku getrennt
sind.
2. Die Montagezapfen (im Lieferumfang des Modems) in die vier Löcher des
primären (links) oder des Backup-Steckplatzes (rechts) auf dem Controller
stecken.
3. Die 16-polige Buchse über dem 16-poligen Stecker ausrichten und dabei
sicherstellen, dass die Löcher des SPCN310 auf die Montagezapfen
ausgerichtet sind.
4. Das Modul vorsichtig nach unten drücken, damit es einrastet.
5. Die Stromversorgung des SPC-Controllers einschalten.
Es muss eine Antenne (im Lieferumfang des SPCN310) an den SMA-Anschluss
des GSM-Moduls angeschlossen werden. Die Antenne kann auf dem Gehäuse
montiert werden, indem eine der Ausbrechöffnungen herausgebrochen wird.
Sicherstellen, dass die Antenne nicht verdeckt ist

Im oberen Bereich des Moduls befinden sich vier LEDs, die mit D1 bis D4
gekennzeichnet sind. Die LED zeigen den Status des Modems an.
Die Funktionen der LEDs sind wie folgt:
