A faulty electrical connection may cause injury or damage to people, animals or property; the
manufacturer may not be held liable for such instances.
Before connecting the steam/vacuum appliance to the mains, ensure that appliance ratings
correspond to mains ratings.
When using extension leads to power the appliance, choose cables with uniform, adequate sections,
which should never be less than 2.5 sq. mm. in size.
The electrical safety of the appliance is not guaranteed unless the appliance is properly connected
to an efficient ground installation as required by current regulations on electrical safety (for Italy,
Law no. 46/90). Check for compliance with this important safety requirement. If in doubt, ask a
qualified technician to carry out an accurate inspection of the electric system. The manufacturer may
not be held liable for any damage that may result form non-grounding of the electric system.
The appliance will only be disconnected from the mains once it is unplugged from the power outlet.
In poor power conditions, the appliance may give rise to transient voltage drops.
INTENDED USE
The appliance is engineered for the sole purposes of cleaning floors, fitted carpets, textiles, vehicles
and washable surfaces in general. It is designed for use with the standard and optional accessories
supplied by the manufacturer, and should be operated within protected environments (protected
from rain, snow, etc.). Any other use of the appliance is qualified as improper and irrational.
Below is a list of examples of irrational/improper use of the appliance:
•Using the steam/vacuum appliance in the rain.
•Using the appliance to clean surfaces which are not apt to be steam-cleaned at high temperatures.
•Vacuuming flammable matter (cigarette ends, embers in the fireplace, solvents, and aggressive
or explosive substances).
•Using the appliance to vacuum against delicate parts of the body such as eyes, mouth, ears, etc.
•Using the appliance to clean animals, persons, etc.
•Replacing the accessories during steam delivery.
•Moving the appliance around by pulling on the power cord.
•Using the appliance with a damaged power cord.
•Washing the appliance with water jets.
•Cleaning the appliance while it is plugged and connected to the mains.
•Operating the appliance with wet hands and/or feet.
•Emptying the waste container without wearing gloves, masks or suitable protective clothes.
•Leaving the appliance running unattended.
•Operating the appliance without any protections (panels and grilles) installed.
•Clogging the openings or slots provided for ventilation or heat escape.
Only use original accessories, as these provide better quality and safety.
Use of non-original accessories shall relieve the manufacturer from any responsibility.
