Sample Introduction
Sample introduction can occur by using an autosampler or manual
injector if you are running an analytical or analytical to semi-
preparative LC system or via a manual injector or pump if you are
running a preparative scale LC system.
Autosampler
If you purchased an analytical or analytical to semi preparative
system you may have an autosampler.
In the Autosampler Device Settings you can move the needle to
the:
•
wash port
•
injection port.
You can also flush the syringe barrel to replace solvent or remove
bubbles by clicking the Flush Syringe Barrel button.
If you have the cooling option on your autosampler you can
change the temperature.
Manual Injector
Depending on the options you chose, you may have a manual
injector. This allows you to make single injections. The Device
Settings window lets you make an injection and shows you the
state of the injector.
Injection Pump
The preparative scale LC system may have an injection pump. In
the injection pump method you can program the injection volume
and flow rate.
