UNIT DESCRIPTION
1. The Varifan Multistage 10 Computer is equipped with a solid
enclosure, moisture resistant covers and necessary components for ease of
operation. The MSC-10 includes the following main components (see Figure
3-1):
a) Access plate (1) secured by its screws (2), permits access to the
wiring connections and to download the configuration module (10).
b) Front panel (4) is equipped with a gasket seal and secured by its
screws (6). The front panel permits viewing the operation status of
the unit.
c)
Heat sink components (7), one on each side of the unit are
connected internally to the main board.
d) Config module storage location (9) allows the operator to keep the
configuration module in a safe location.
e) Configuration module (11) contains the logic program information
on the type of sensors used, temperature unit of Celsius or
Fahrenheit, control value descriptions and the configuration of your
setup (i.e. a control program of what to activate and when,
differentials, interlocks etc.).
f) Temperature sensor (10) is used to send temperature signals to the
MSC-10. The temperature sensors are normally located at remote
areas of the building.
g) Control values label (12) and the outputs label (5), allow the
operator to view the inputs and outputs of the MSC-10 computer.
h) Up arrow button (14) and down arrow button (13), allow the
operator to select a control value LED indicator.
j) Adjust knob (8), allows the operator to set a specific value which is
read on the digital display (3) of the front panel (4).
