Ambiente sicuro
Utilizzare il visore soltanto in un ambiente
sicuro, in quanto nella realtà virtuale si potrebbero
non notare gli ostacoli del mondo reale.

Tenere sempre presente l’ambiente circostante
prima di iniziare l’uso e durante l’utilizzo del
visore.

Non utilizzare mai il visore in situazioni che
richiedono attenzione come camminare, andare
in bicicletta o guidare. Non utilizzare il visore
mentre si è in un veicolo in movimento.

Ricordare che durante l’utilizzo del visore, si può
essere ignari del fatto che alcune persone stiano
entrando nella zona in cui ci si trova.

Prima di utilizzare il visore, sgombrare la zona
da ostacoli e pericoli, persone, mobili e qualsiasi
altro elemento che possa impedire di muoversi
liberamente.

Non utilizzare il visore vicino a muri, scale,
balconi, finestre, porte aperte, soffitti bassi,
ventilatori a soffitto, lampadari, oggetti fragili,
fiamme libere, fonti di calore o qualsiasi altro
elemento contro cui si possa urtare o sbattere.

Tenere a mente la posizione dei fili e dei cavi di
alimentazione in modo da non camminarci sopra,
inciamparci o tirarseli a sé durante l’utilizzo del
visore. Non strattonare, annodare o piegare fili
o cavi.

Non maneggiare oggetti affilati o diversamente
pericolosi durante l’utilizzo del visore.
Attacchi
Alcune persone possono manifestare gravi
vertigini, svenimenti, attacchi epilettici o blackout
innescati da lampi di luce, modelli o l’esposizione
a sorgenti di luce infrarossa di un eye tracker, pur
non avendo un’anamnesi di queste condizioni.
In caso di insorgenza di uno di questi sintomi,
smettere di usare il visore e consultare un medico.
Se si ha un’anamnesi precedente con questi
sintomi, consultare un medico prima di utilizzare il
visore. Per ridurre la probabilità di un attacco, non
utilizzare il visore quando si è stanchi.
Disagio
Quando si avvalgono della realtà virtuale,
alcune persone possono manifestare occhi
asciutti, affaticamento oculare, spasmi muscolari
o oculari, movimenti involontari, vista alterata,
offuscata o doppia o altre anomalie visive, vertigini,
stordimento, disorientamento, disagio o dolore alla
testa o agli occhi, mal di testa, equilibrio alterato,
coordinazione mano-occhi alterata, sudorazione
eccessiva, aumento della salivazione, nausea,
affaticamento, perdita di consapevolezza o attacchi
o altri sintomi della chinetosi.
Quando si inizia a utilizzare la realtà virtuale,
mantenere la durata delle prime sessioni breve
e fare pause regolari. Se si avverte un disagio,
smettere di usare il visore e continuare soltanto
dopo che i sintomi sono scomparsi. Non guidare,
