Electrical installation
Remote control/external block
A PCB input has different functions depending on the position of SW
4/1. The functions cannot be used at the same time.
1. Remote/telephone control, switching between normal and low
temperature mode depending on the status of the input.
2. Block of entire boiler power. External stage/power control
Remote control
This function could be used to maintain a low temperature, for
example for frost protection when the house is unoccupied. If a
telephone remote control is connected, the temperature can be
changed by making a phone call.
The contact function in the control unit must be voltage-free.
Open between 2 and 3 means the temperature setting is as
described in 24.
Closed between 2 and 3 means that the normal temperature setting
is used.

External block - external stage/power control
The boiler can be blocked by an external voltage-free contact. If the
boiler is blocked in a mode in which power is connected, the power
will be reduced until all power stages are disconnected.
The boiler can be controlled by an external voltage signal, 0-10 V dc,
or current signal, 0- 10 mA or 0- 20 mA dc.
The external control signal controls the power stages between 0-
100% of installed power. See “Installed power”.
The temperature control within the boiler itself takes precedence, so
the boiler temperature setting should be slightly higher than neces-
sary for the system.
The boiler Power/status light will flash "One long two short fl ash-
 two short fl ash-
 two short flash-
es" until the external control signal reaches 100%.

Installed power
The selected number of stages corresponds to the installed power.
In the example, the boiler is set so that it can only use five output
stages, so five output stages is then the installed power.
For voltage control, 0-10 Vdc, 10 V is required in order to connect the
five stages.
The same applies to the voltage signal indicating the connected
power.
