Practical Use
Authentication requests require the user name to be resolved and the appropriate DIGIPASS User Account to be
located. Domain management is therefore required to support this process.
For example, let's consider a company using the domain name 'mycompany.com'. The system administrator has
added a domain, 'mycompany.com' and multiple users below this domain. One of these users is the DIGIPASS
User Account 'martin'. Imagine the following two user IDs being provided by an end user, and the consequences
shown in the flowchart (see above).

User ID = 'martin',
the resulting user ID is
' while the domain is 'Master', because the factory
default aXsGUARD Identifier does not have a default domain configured in
the
policies.
