The VASCO Service Center server handles registration, updating and remote support for the aXsGUARD Identifier.
The connection between the aXsGUARD Identifier and the VASCO Service Center requires the appliance site
firewall to be configured to allow an outgoing connection on port TCP 443 to sc.vasco.com. Your organization may
prefer this port not to be permanently open for the automatic connection on boot-up of the aXsGUARD Identifier to
the VASCO Service Center (see section
). In this case, the port needs to be opened specially for connection, e.g.

The aXsGUARD Identifier must be able to resolve the VASCO Service Center address (sc.vasco.com) to an IP
