3 Installation
The burner is designed to allo
w fl exible placement in most interiors, and requires a minimum of
assembly and installa" on before it can be used. To ensure that the burner’s full safety is u" lized, it is
important that the instruc" ons below for assembly be followed when the burner is installed.
Keep in mind!
The burner is cer" fi ed to be placed in a space with a minimum volume of 40 (48 CI Wide) m
3
(an
equivalent fl oor area is 17 (20 CI Wide) m
2
) and with normal ven" la" on (0,5 exchange of air per
hour). It is important that the placement is chosen so that the fl ame is not exposed to direct draught,
and places should be especially avoided where the draught’s direc" on is against the burner’s
opening. Infl ammable objects must not be placed within 1 metre from the burner. Remember that
curtains and similar objects must have a safety margin of at least 1 metre due to risk of draught
currents. (Figure 3, 7)
3.1 Assembly, installation and safety distance
The burner is to a large extent assembled already when delivered, and needs only minor post-
assembly and installa" on. Follow the steps below to assemble and install the product.

Depending on the market and model variants, minor devia" ons may occur.
Prepara• ons:
1. Remove the burner and its accessories from the package and check the items for possible
transport damage. Any damage must immediately be reported to the shipping agent and the
place of purchase.
2. Check that all parts and standard accessories specifi ed in Sec" on 2 are included.
3. When conver" ng an exis" ng wood-fi red open stove or " led stove, clean the upper part of the
burner and the smoke passages from soot, so that residue par" cles do not fall down into the
combus" on system during opera" on.
3.1.1 Assembly, installation and safety distance Burner OF Wide:
1. Lower the burner module into the matching holder in the burner mantle. (Figure 1)
2. Place the regulator lid by lowering both of the guide pins into their respec" ve grooves. When
correctly placed, the regulator lid should lie " ght against the burner’s surface, and slide easily
when the lid is moved to its respec" ve stop by means of the regulator axle. In the open posi" on,
the lid should be located en" rely in front of the burner opening, and in the closed posi" on it
should completely cover the burner opening (Figure 2)
Installa" on and safety distance for OF Wide:
Note that the installa" on instruc" ons below are intended as a summary illustra" on of a safe
installa" on of your burner. A more detailed descrip" on of the installa" on can be obtained from Vauni
AB or its representa" ve. (www.vauni.com) In order to ensure full func" onality and safety of the
installa" on, it is important that you contact a cer" fi ed chimney-sweeper or fi re expert so as to get the
installa" on of the burner inspected and approved.

with
fi re box / conversion of open stove with Burner OF Wide
Burner OF Wide must only be installed in a fi re box or exis" ng open stove which is made of non-
fl ammable material and has minimum free space dimensions of width 650mm x height 800mm x
depth 550mm. (Figure 4A) A customer-specifi c or specially made fi re box must, in addi" on, fulfi l the
following requirements:
1. The sides and walls must be constructed of non-fl ammable material(s) such as stainless steel,
minerite, bricks, cement or stone.
