6.10.1 Entering Telephone Numbers
Double-clicking on any of the 50 lines (memory locations) will display a dialog window
for entering the following information:
•
the telephone number
•
a password which is associated with the telephone number, i.e. the password of
the protected NetCam unit to be reached under the respective telephone number;
used for automated login
•
the type of connection: ISDN or modem
•
the number of B-channels (for ISDN calls only)
The entered number is usually stored in the telephone directory by clicking the ’Save’
button. The number can also be tested by clicking ’Dial’ which will prompt an immedi-
ate attempt by NetCam to dial the number.
The password is required to automatically login into a protected NetCam unit (Net-
Cam receiver). As soon as connection is established, NetCam will transmit the con-
figured password in order to enable the video transmission.
6.10.2 Assigning Numbers to Alarms
Each alarm source (motion detection, video-alarm, ISDN-alarm, modem-alarm, up to
7 alarm inputs) can be associated with up to 5 telephone numbers. Selecting the ’Edit’
button to the right of each alarm source, the dialog window depicted below will appear.
Numbers are ordered with respect to priority from left to right: The first number to the
left represents the highest priority. Conversely, the rightmost number corresponds to
the lowest priority. In case of an alarm NetCam will dial call using the number corre-
sponding to the highest available priority. If the connection cannot be established
(wrong number, busy receiver, ...), NetCam will either redial the same number or will
use the number corresponding to the second highest priority in another dial attempt
