Attention!
If ignition is turned off or speed pulses are detected during VDO
USB Stick using, the ongoing process shall be cancelled and
shall be restarted when ignition is turned back on or speed
pulses ceases.
The VDO USB Stick can be used for driver login /
logout, BVDR configuration and BVDR data
recording via USB.
2.4.4 Select driver code (Login)
Selecting a driver code can be done in two ways:
- Via the display, where only the front buttons of the BVDR will be used.
- Via USB, where it is necessary to use the VDO USB Stick.
2.4.4.1
Driver login via display
In the menu, go to the start screen, select
“driver login” and press
. Then a
list of registered drivers will appear. Select the desired driver and press
to
login.

Driver login via USB
From the main screen, insert the VDO USB Stick into the front USB port of the
BVDR and wait for verification. If the USB device is a VDO USB Stick, the ID
will be immediate and the screen displayed will conform to (a). Otherwise, the
screen displayed will conform to (b) and the device will not be accepted as a
means of identification.
