Antenna Installation Menu
The antenna installation menu helps you check that the receiving antenna(e) is (are)
properly connected and functioning correctly. The antenna installation menu is always
opened automatically if the automatic channel fails to locate a single channel.

Use the number keys to enter the number of a channel that you know to be
transmitting a DVB-T signal.

Information concerning channel frequencies can be obtained, for example from the
internet page of your local TV station.

The reception frequency of the
selected channel is displayed.
Underneath it there will appear
two bars representing signal
strength and reception quality
(bit error rate).

The parameters “Strength” and
“Quality” indicate the field
strength and the picture and sound
quality with which a channel can
be received.

Park the vehicle in the open and observe how high each of the bars gets. If
necessary, move the vehicle a few metres until the bars both reach their maximum.

The reception quality is also indicated by the colour of the lower bar:
- red: poor reception
- orange: reasonable reception
- green: good reception

If both bars fail to indicate anything at all, check the antenna connection again or
enter a different channel.

Once you have successfully checked the antenna connection and the reception,
press the
Exit
button to restart the installation.
