In rare cases, your multimedia system may not function the way you expect it to.
Before calling the service department, please read the operating instructions
thoroughly and go through the following check list; it may be possible to quickly
remedy an apparent malfunction.
Symptoms
Possible cause / remedy
Tuner not functioning. No reaction when
the ignition is turned on and the
Power
button is pressed.
•
Check the fuses (unit and vehicle) and the connections
(see installation instructions).
The tuner does not react to pressing
buttons on the remote control.
The batteries for the remote control are flat.
• Replace the batteries using two new AAA-sized alkaline-
manganese cells.
Interference to picture or sound during
reception. Picture shows “blocks” or
freezes.
Interference-free DVB-T reception is not possible at the
current location due to insufficient field strength and/or
signal quality.
•
Move to another location to get better reception.
When using antenna set TVA 6500:
• Check the switch for the antenna power supply (switch
“ANT PWR” on the back of the tuner must be switched to
“ON”).
No picture on the selected channel. Only
the error message “No signal” is displayed.
It may be that channels that were saved at a previous place
cannot be received at the current location.
•
Conduct an automatic channel search to update the
channel lists.
Incorrect language for OSD menu, dialogs
or sub-titles.
• Check the languages under “User Preferences ->
Languages”.
• If necessary, reset the audio or sub-title language for the
selected channel (see “Channel selection”).

This function is only intended for devices with Pay-TV
