Incoming SMS messages are stored either on the SIM card, or in the internal memory
of the mobile phone (depending on the device). They thus remain stored after the system
has been switched off and can e.g. be read later from the mobile phone. The hands-free
unit can handle up to 99 SMS messages.
Reading SMS messages

New incoming messages are displayed on the monitor. The message is displayed
immediately after confirming the question "Read?" with
OK
.
To read stored SMS messages:
1. In the Start display, select the symbol
(or the "Messages" option in the main
menu).
The "Messages" menu appears.
2. Select the "Inbox" option.
The SMS messages are read from the SIM card; during this time, "Opening ..." is displayed
on the screen.
The stored messages are then displayed in an SMS list.
3. Select the SMS from the list.
The message text as well as the caller’s number, the date and time at which the SMS mes-
sage was sent are displayed on the screen under "Message details".
SMS options
If the
OK
key
is pressed while an SMS is being displayed, the "Options" menu appears with
the following selection possibilities:
"Erase"
The displayed message is erased
"Reply"
The call number of the incoming message is accepted. The display
for writing a message appears
"Use number"
The displayed call number can be supplemented with the name
and can be stored in the phone book or dialled.
"Forward"
The message is forwarded to a call number to be entered
