TMC traffic information
Your Navigation System processes TMC traffic information, provided a
TMC expansion, e.g. the MT 5010, is connected, and the TMC data is
supported in this region by the map DVD/CD. This is generally the case if
TMC traffic information is broadcast in a country (meaning that it can
therefore also be received) and you have a current map DVD/CD.
You have the option of adapting the TMC service to your own
requirements. Details can be found in the chapter Settings under dynamic
route, route criteria and traffic inform. Urgent traffic reports, however,
cannot be switched off. If an expansion is connected, and TMC can be
received, the TMC status is shown in the status line of the screen.
“TMC” = green
TMC information is available. Alternatively
the name of the provider may be displayed.
“TMC” = black
No TMC database on the CD/DVD for the region
or data not active for navigation (see C-IQ).

” = red
Traffic information for the planned route is
available.

” = green
Less than 50km to the road obstruction
on the planned route. Deviation is possible.

“ = orange
Accepted or bypassed traffic jams on the
original route.
“TMC” = red
