User Preference Screen
User Preference
Allows you to customize various preferences, such as how to label function tabs, how
often to refresh status rates, and how to assign sounds to alarm events. The following
functions appear on the User Preference screen:
•
PP Label Information
: You can assign a specific name (up to 20 characters in
length) to each protocol processor function tab. When a protocol processor tab
is selected, the name appears in the PP Name/Go To area of the screen. For
example:
Changing a Tab Name for the Go To Label
•
Current Printer
: When printing a report or a saved file to a network printer, you
can disable or enable the Windows Print dialog.
•
If
No Prompt Use
is selected, then you will be initially prompted to
configure a default printer so future printed reports are sent to your default
printer without any further user intervention.
•
If
Prompt Each Time
is selected, you can choose a printer for each report
printed, using the Print dialog.
•
Startup Locking State
: Determines if a test set is automatically locked (see
Lock Icon) when the unit is started.
•
: Associates a WAV file sound with an alarm event. When
using the unit's touch screen, a total of 10 sounds are available. When using the
remote GUI, up to a total of 16 sounds can be used. This includes customized
WAV files that you provide by copying your own WAV files into the Remote Client
directory.
