1.0 introduction

We would like to thank you for purchasing a VELA Tango. We are sure that it will continue 
to give you pleasure well into the future. The directions for use contain useful information 
about positioning, operating, maintenance and technical data, etc. 

This user manual applies to the VELA Tango 50.

important

Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference. It must always be 
readily available to the user. This user manual must always be kept with the chair. 

The manual is also available on VELA’s website: www.vela.eu. If you have any questions, 
please contact VELA.

The chair is made by VELA, Vermund Larsen A/S, Goeteborgvej 12, 9200 Aalborg SV, 
Denmark. The VELA Tango is designed for indoor use by people with slight disabilities.

1.1. safety

This chair carries the CE-mark and complies with all current EU regulations. Remove the 
CE-mark, when rebuilding the product or when using other than original VELA spare 
parts and fittings.

recycLing

Many of the materials used in the chair’s construction can be recycled. Deliver the chair to 
VELA or our local recycling centre.

important information

Compliace with the EMC-demand according to: IEC 60601-1-2.Be carefull under use 
of e.g. mobile phones, high frequency medical equipment. If you have any questions, 
please do not hesitate to contact VELA or your local dealer. 

1.5 VeLa tango 50 usermanuaL

  �EIG�T AD�USTMENT

�EIG�T AD�USTMENT

The height of the VELA Tango 50 can be adjusted using the 
gas springs. This is done by pulling the small lever under 
the seat. (left side)

BACk-�EIG�T

The back can be adjusted by pulling the lever. The lever can 
be found behind the seat.

ARMREST

The height as well as the width of the arm rests can be 
adjusted.

�EIG�T-AD�USTMENT
The height is adjusted by loosening the lever. Remember to 
tighten them well again.

WIDT�-AD�USTMENT
The width is set by loosening the lever and adjusting the 
width.
Remember to tighten the levers again.

BRAkE

VELA Tango 50 has a centralbrake. The hand-brake is 
pushed forwards to lock the wheels and backwards to 
release them.
