Installation
General instructions
pfu basic range: Prefabricated concrete
enclosure, ground-level walk-in type
8.6. Cable connections
The pfu has pre-punched holes in the bottom of the body for
the cable access. The blanked holes are 200 mm in diameter.
According to the needs of each case, use a hammer to make
the necessary holes in the most convenient location.
Once the connections have been made, the feed-through
holes should be sealed using polyurethane sealant putty in
order to guarantee appropriate water tightness.
Use polyurethane putty for sealing. Do not use porous
materials (polyurethane foam, etc.).
8.6.1. Low-voltage auxiliary supply input
In the front wall of the pfu (next to each access door to the
distribution transformer zone), there is a 140 mm diameter
hole that allows a temporary electrical connection to the
low-voltage distribution board from the outside.
This auxiliary input is located 2000 mm above level 0, and is
closed using a cover that assures an IP 23D rating when it is
not being used.
In the case of pfu buildings with two transformers,
there is a low-voltage auxiliary input for each of the
transformers.

The cover that closes this auxiliary input can only be
removed from inside the pfu. Proceed as follows for cable
access from outside:
1. Loosen the wing nut from inside the pfu.
