SHE1 – Digital Mini Pedometer
Introduction
Thank you for buying the SHE1. We
are confident that this device will
provide you with a simple but
effective way of monitoring the total
distance you have run.
The measuring range is comprised between
0.01
and
999.99
km.
Operation
1) Hold the SHE1 in front of you. The display reads
0.00
(if not : press RESET).
2) Determine your average stride length as follows :
Walk or run 10 steps and measure the total distance (from the tip of your shoe before step 1
to the tip of your shoe after step 10). Divide this distance by 10 to calculate your average
stride length.
3) Hold the round push-button in the bottom left-hand corner of the front panel to make the
digits of the LCD flash. Note that the SHE1 will return to the normal display mode if you wait
longer than 5 seconds to press the next key. Use RESET to enter your average stride length
: 5cm (= 0.166ft) will be added every time RESET is pressed. The length of the strides is
comprised between 30 and 150 cm (1 to 5ft). Wait 5 seconds to press the next button or
press the round push-button in order to return to the normal display mode.
4) Clip the device to your belt.
5) Start walking or running. The SHE1 will now calculate the distance travelled (from
0.01
to
999.99
km).
6) Press RESET to delete the measured distance and follow steps
1
through
5
to restart the
distance measurement.
Battery Replacement
Replace the old L1154 button cell with a new one (or an equivalent, e.g. LR44) when the figures
on the display become dim or illegible.
1) Use a coin to open the battery cover at the back of the device. Remove the old button cell
and insert the new one. The positive (+) pole should face up.
2) Close the battery cover and dispose of the old button cell.
Remarks

you will need to re-enter your average stride length upon replacing the button cell.
