a. Before Installation
Hardware: as the
VCC
is a PCI video capture card, make sure there is a PCI slot available in your PC.
Software: make sure Microsoft™ DirectX8.0 or higher is installed in Win98/ME/2K/XP.
On the component side of the card, the jumper
on connector J3 determines what input channel
is sent out through the output connector:
b. Installing the video capture card
1. Power off your PC, disconnect the power cord and open the housing.
2. Insert the video card into the available PCI slot and fasten the attachment screws.
3. Close the housing, reconnect the power cord and power on your PC.
c. Installing the PV143 driver under Win98/ME/2K/XP
NOTE: before installing the PV143 driver, check if you have the BT878 driver installed. If so, please uninstall the
BT878 driver completely to avoid compatibility problems with the PV143 driver.
1. Insert the CD into the CDROM drive (here we assume this is the E drive)
2. New hardware (the video card) will be detected and an "add new hardware wizard" dialogue box will appear.
3. Click next and select the driver source as E:\PV143\XXX\Driver\Win98/ME/2K/XP (XXX refers to the subfolder -
which one depends on the resolution you want: folder "320" for 320x240 or "640" for 640x480).
4. The BT878 video/audio drivers will automatically be installed in your system
5. After successfully installing the drivers, you can find them in your system properties, on the 'Device Manager' tab,
under "Sound, video and game controllers".
