This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could
harm the environment. Do not dispose of the
unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal
waste; it should be taken to a specialized
company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local
recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal
authorities.

manual thoroughly before bringing this device into
service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not
install or use it and contact your dealer.

Safety Instructions
● This device can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
● Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain,
moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put
objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.
● Always disconnect mains power when the device is not
in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are
performed. Handle the power cord by the plug only. ● Do
not disassemble or open the cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an
authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
● Caution: Device heats up during use. Never cover the
device and keep the ventilation slots free from dust and
obstructions at all times. The housing might heat up
during usage. Keep minimum distances around the device
for sufficient ventilation. Place the device on a flat, heat
resistant surface. Do not place the device on carpets,
fabrics… ● Do not use the device when damage to
housing or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to service
the device yourself but contact an authorised dealer.
● Do not use near inflammable products or in explosive
atmospheres. Heat can cause fire to inflammable
products even when they are not in sight. Only use in
properly ventilated rooms. ● WARNING: This tool must be
placed on its stand when not in use. ● Provide for good
ventilation when using the device. ● The cutting wire is
hot. Do not touch hot parts to avoid risk of skin burn! ● Do
not leave the device unattended when it is switched on.
● Switch off the device after use. Let it cool down
sufficiently before storing. ● Always use the cutter on a
heatproof and uncluttered table. ● Only use the supplied
cutting wire or a suited replacement wire.

warranty. ● Only use the device for its intended purpose.
All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns,
electroshocks, crash, etc. Using the device in an
unauthorized way will void the warranty. ● Damage
caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is
not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not
accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
● Due to constant product improvements, the actual
product appearance might differ from the shown images.
● Product images are for illustrative purposes only. ● Do
not switch the device on immediately after it has been
exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the device
against damage by leaving it switched off until it has
reached room temperature. ● The appliance is only to be
used with the power supply unit provided with the
appliance. ● Keep this manual for future reference.

Operation
● The appliance is only to be used with the power supply
unit provided with the appliance. ● Draw the design on
the piece of foam, either freehandedly or using a pattern.
● Choose one of the included tips and insert it into the
handle. Ensure it is well-secured into the handle.
● Connect the plug coming from the handle to the
adapter. Insert the adapter into the mains socket.
● Switch on the foam cutter and place it onto the stand.
Wait for the cutter to warm up. ● Hold the cutter in a
comfortable position. Always try on a test object before
starting on your project. Remove large unwanted chunks
first for easier handling. ● We recommend using the wire
tip for more detailed work. Do not use force to cut the
foam and let the heat do the work. ● After cutting, switch
off and disconnect the foam cutter from the mains. Let it
cool down on the stand before storing.

Cleaning and Maintenance
● Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision. ● The external flexible cable
of the adapter cannot be replaced, if the cord of this
adapter is damaged, it is necessary to dispose of the
adapter and replace by an adapter of the same model
(model HS18-0501500EU). ● The foam cutter does not
need any particular maintenance. However, occasionally
wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. ● Do not
use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong
detergents.

dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en
eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone
huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een
gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor
recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar
een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de
plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften
● Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf
8 jaar, door personen met fysieke, zintuiglijke of
verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek
aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder
toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is
voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven,
hoe zij het toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn
van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel met zich
meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen.
● Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het
toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende
vloeistoffen. Plaats nooit objecten gevuld met vloeistof op
of naast het toestel. ● Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact
wanneer het toestel niet in gebruik is of voordat u het
toestel reinigt. Houd de voedingskabel altijd vast bij de
stekker en niet bij de kabel. ● Demonteer of open dit
toestel NOOIT. Er zijn geen onderdelen in het toestel die
door de gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden.
Contacteer uw verdeler voor eventuele
reserveonderdelen. ● Opgelet: Dit toestel wordt zeer
warm tijdens het gebruik. Bedek het toestel nooit en
houd de ventilatieopeningen altijd vrij van stof en andere
mogelijke obstructies. Bij gebruik kan de behuizing
opwarmen. Houd voldoende ruimte rondom het toestel
vrij voor een goede ventilatie. Plaats het toestel op een
plat en hittebestendig oppervlak. Plaats het toestel nooit
op een tapijt, textiel... ● Gebruik het toestel niet indien
de behuizing of de bekabeling beschadigd is. Probeer in
geen geval het toestel zelf te repareren maar contacteer
uw verdeler. ● Vermijd gebruik in de buurt van brandbare
producten of explosieve gassen. Door de hitte kunnen
brandbare stoffen ontvlammen, ook wanneer deze niet
zichtbaar zijn. Gebruik enkel in een goed geventileerde
ruimte. ● WAARSCHUWING: Plaats het toestel in de
houder wanneer u deze niet gebruikt. ● Zorg voor een
goede ventilatie tijdens het gebruik. ● De snijdraad is
heet. Raak geen hete onderdelen aan om brandwonden
te voorkomen. ● Laat het toestel niet onbeheerd achter
wanneer het ingeschakeld is. ● Schakel het toestel uit na
gebruik. Laat het toestel volledig afkoelen voordat u het
opbergt. ● Gebruik het toestel steeds op een
hittebestendig en opgeruimd werkvlak. ● Gebruik
uitsluitend de meegeleverde snijdraad of een geschikte
reservedraad.

Algemene richtlijnen

op www.velleman.eu. ● Bescherm het toestel tegen stof
en extreme temperaturen. ● Bescherm tegen schokken.
Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel.
● Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u
het gaat gebruiken. ● Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen
wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de
gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet
onder de garantie. ● Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor
het gemaakt is. Andere toepassingen kunnen leiden tot
kortsluitingen, brandwonden, elektrische schokken, enz.
Bij onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie. ● De
garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van
bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal
de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of
problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
● We streven voortdurend naar verbetering van onze
producten. Daarom kan dit product uiterlijk verschillen
van de afbeeldingen. ● De afbeeldingen van het product
zijn enkel ter illustratie. ● Schakel het toestel niet
onmiddellijk in nadat het werd blootgesteld aan
temperatuurschommelingen. Om beschadiging te
vermijden, laat het toestel uitgeschakeld tot het de
kamertemperatuur heeft bereikt. ● Gebruik enkel de
meegeleverde voedingsadapter. ● Bewaar deze
handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

Gebruik
● Gebruik enkel de meegeleverde voedingsadapter.
● Teken de vorm uit de vrije hand of met een patroon.
● Kies een van de meegeleverde stiften en plaats deze op
de handgreep. Zorg ervoor dat de stift goed bevestigd is
in de handgreep. ● Sluit de plug van de handgreep aan
op de adapter. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
● Schakel het toestel in en plaats deze op de houder.
Wacht tot het toestel is opgewarmd. ● Neem een
comfortabele houding aan. Probeer altijd eerst uit op een
testobject voor u het toestel gebruikt. Verwijder grote
ongewenste stukken voor een betere bediening.
● Gebruik de gloeidraad om nauwkeurig te werken. Oefen
geen overmatige druk uit op het toestel en laat de hitte
het werk doen. ● Na gebruik, schakel het toestel uit en
trek de stekker uit het stopcontact. Laat het toestel
volledig afkoelen voordat u het opbergt.
6.
Reiniging en onderhoud
● De reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen
niet worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder
toezicht staan. ● De flexibele kabel van de
voedingsadapter kan niet worden vervangen. Als de kabel
beschadigd is, dan moet u de voedingsadapter weggooien
en vervangen door een adapter van hetzelfde type
(model HS18-0501500EU). ● Het toestel vereist geen
bijzonder onderhoud. Reinig het toestel af en toe met een
vochtige doek. ● Gebruik geen bijtende chemische
producten, reinigingsmiddelen of sterke detergenten.
