2. Safety requirements
•
The soldering station is to be used only for soldering/desoldering electric and electronic components in printed
circuit boards and modules, for tinning PCB tracks and cable ends and for repairing cable connections.
•
The soldering station may definitely not be used for heating liquids and synthetic materials (formation of toxic
vapours, fire hazard!)
•
A defective soldering station (visible damage, no function, prolonged storage in bad conditions, improper
shipping) mustn't be used and should be guarded against further use. The device should only be repaired by
qualified personnel. User modifications are forbidden for safety reasons because they could lead to electric
shocks (mortal danger!). Damages caused by such modifications are not covered by the warranty.

The soldering station should only be used with an alternating current of 230V (220V-240V) 50Hz.
•
Install and use the soldering station only in dry spaces.
•
Do not leave the soldering station unattended.
•
Keep it away from children.
•
Always put the soldering iron in the provided holder.
•
Do not use the soldering station in a wet or moist environment or in the vicinity of flammable substances or gases.
•
The vapours that are released during soldering are harmful. Therefore, you should only use the soldering station
in well-ventilated areas or under an exhaust hood (solder fume extractor).
•
Only solder currentless components. The soldering station is not potential-free!
•
Please respect the legal provisions concerning accident prevention.
•
Due to sudden changes in temperature, there may be a build-up of condensed water. This could lead to damage
or defects. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
•
The soldering iron can reach temperatures of over 160°C. Touching the metal parts of a hot soldering iron can
lead to serious burns in humans and animals.
•
You shouldn't leave the soldering station at high temperatures for too long. Shut it off when you don't intend on
using it for a longer period.
•
Never cool down the soldering station by emerging it in water.
•
Don't expose the soldering station and soldering iron to large mechanical loads.
