Safety
• Window operator KMG 100 can be used by persons (aged 8 years and
above) with sufficient experience and knowledge if they have been
given instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be done by unsuper-
vised children.
• Children must not play with the window operator.
• The window operator must not be put into operation until it has been
fitted according to the instructions.
• Prevent the window from opening or closing suddenly and uncontrol-
lably during installation.
• The window operator must not be connected directly to the mains
supply as this will damage it.
• Installation in rooms with a high level of humidity must comply with
relevant regulations.
• Before operating, ensure that the window can be operated without risk
of damage to property or injury to people or animals.
• For personal safety, never have your hand or body out of the window
without first switching off the mains supply.
• If repair or adjustment work is needed, disconnect mains supply and
ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally.
Function
• The window may be manually operated. The window operator engages
and disengages automatically.
• If the window has been opened electrically, it can be disengaged from
the window operator as shown in the instructions.
• If the rain sensor gets wet, the window operator automatically closes
the window; however, the ventilation flap remains open.
• To prevent the window from closing because of very fine/weak rain,
fog or dew, the rain sensor is equipped with a heating element to keep
the surface dry.
• If the window has been opened manually, the window operator will not
be activated via the rain sensor or other automatic functions.
• From fully open, it will take up to one minute from the time of activa-
tion before the window is completely closed. Therefore, in case of
sudden rain, water may enter the room before the window is closed.
• In case of snow and/or ice, the operation of the window may be
blocked.

Product
• The window operator has been designed for use with genuine VELUX
products. Connection to other products may cause damage or mal-
function.
• The window operator is compatible with products with the
io-homecontrol
®
logo.
• The window operator must be connected to a VELUX INTEGRA
®
control system.

• Products marked with the crossed out wheeled bin are regarded as
electrical and electronic equipment and contain hazardous materials,
components and substances. The crossed out wheeled bin symbolises
that electrical and electronic equipment waste must not be disposed
of together with household waste. It must be collected separately at
recycling stations or other collection sites or retrieved directly from
households to increase the possibilities of recycling, reuse and utilisa-
tion of electrical and electronic equipment waste. By sorting electrical
and electronic equipment products with this symbol, you contribute
to reducing the volume of incinerated or buried waste and to reducing
any negative impact on human health and the environment. Further
information can be obtained from the local municipality's technical
administration or from your VELUX sales company.
• The packaging can be disposed of with usual household waste.
Maintenance and service
• It is recommended to lubricate the window hinges at least once a year.
• The window must be tested to ensure that all moving parts of window
and window operator are fully functional and not influenced by wear
or corrosion.
• If installed and used correctly, the window operator normally does not
require maintenance.
• Disconnect mains supply before carrying out any maintenance (includ-
ing cleaning of pane) or service work to the window and products con-
nected to it and ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally.
• It is recommended that VELUX service engineers carry out any repair
work to the window, the window operator or other electrical compo-
nents.
