Before beginning operations, check that the motor-vibrator and the machine on which it is installed are in a perfect
condition. Check that operation is regular and that there are no damaged or broken parts. Any damaged or broken
parts must be repaired or replaced by competent and authorized personnel.
-
Repairs made by persons not specifically authorized by the Manufacturer shall void the guarantee and might lead to
operate unsafe and potentially dangerous equipment.
-
Never touch the motor-vibrator whilst it operates. Only proceed with maintenance when the motor-vibrator and
machine are off and with the plug removed from the current socket. Wait until the equipment has cooled before
working on the motor-vibrator.
-
Children or unauthorized, unskilled persons or those in poor conditions of health are forbidden to touch or use the
motor-vibrator.
-
The power supply has to comply with the standards.
-
Periodically check the condition of the cable. Replace it if it is damaged. This operation may only be carried out by
competent and authorized personnel.
-
Only use approved and marked extension cables.
-
Protect the cable against high temperatures, lubricants and sharp edges. Never twist or knot the cable.
SECTION 3 - Use and maintenance of VV-DC vibrator

INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Before installation and if the motor-vibrator has been stored for over 12 months, remove a weight cover and check that
the shaft is free to turn .
VENANZETTI vibrators can be installed in any position.
The vibrator must be rigidly fixed to a perfectly flat structure (0.25mm) with bolts and nuts type 8.8. Use a torque wrench
(table page 82).
Attention: Check the tightness again after a short period of operation.
All VV-DC vibrators are supplied with a 2,5m cable type FROR 2x2,5 mm2 (VV-DC 3/500, VV-DC 3/1200, VV-DC
3/1500: 2x6mm2).
The power supply cable must be connected to the electricity by an installer, in compliance with the current
safety provisions.
Always check that the power voltage value correspond to these indicated on the vibrator identification plate
before powering the equipment.
Do not exceed the length of 30m of the power cable.
Important: consult the technical data, electrical characteristics, rated current and starting power draw when
choosing the electrical equipment to start/stop the machine and protect against overloads. Also opt for delayed
magnetothermic switches to prevent release during the starting phase which may be longer at low ambient
temperatures.
NOTES for VV-DC 3/100-S08 MF and VV-DC 3/200-S08 MF
The reversal of the supply polarity involves the non-starting of the vibrator. Connect the power source
respecting the po e - indicate on the supply cable.
The voltage for 12 and 24 Vdc types must be respectively 12 ± 2 Vdc and 24 ± 4 Vdc.
24Vdc models are suitable to be used on vehicles with generators having 40V load dump integrated
suppression.
The maximum operating temperature is 100°C, beyond this temperature the vibrator stops and restarts
automatically when the temperature decrease below 95°C.
