DJUSTMENT
If the parking brake is not holding suf
fi
ciently, the
brake linkage will need to be adjusted.
1. Park power unit on a level surface and block
tires to prevent movement.
2. Move the selector lever out of the park brake
position to relieve pressure on the brake linkage.
3. Tighten the 1/4” lock nut on the brake linkage
rod several turns.

EUTRAL
A
DJUSTMENT
The power unit should come to a complete stop
when the selector lever is in the park brake (#1) or
the spring assist to neutral (#2) position and the
S.D.L.A. lever is in neutral. If the power unit consis-
tently creeps while in neutral, the neutral position
must be adjusted.
1. Park the power unit on a level surface.
2. Lift the power unit off the ground and secure with
jack stands.
3.
Do not attempt to adjust the neutral position with the
power unit wheels on the ground. During the adjust-
ment process, the power unit could begin to move.
Lift the power unit off the ground and secure with
jack stands to prevent the power unit from moving.
This also allows neutral to be easily determined
when any tire rotation stops.
Start the power unit and adjust engine speed to
approximately 2,000 RPM.
4. Place selector lever in the spring assist to neu-
tral position.
5. Locate the neutral adjustment bolt on the right
base of the steering column.

ment Bolt
ment Bolt
Loosen the nut just enough to free the grip of the
bolt from the slot.
7. Move the bolt slightly in either direction until the
tendency to creep stops. NOTE: a small screw-
driver can aid in moving and holding the bolt in
place until tightened.
8. Retighten the nut.
NOTE: If unsure of this procedure or your efforts fail
to remedy the problem, contact your Ventrac dealer.
