7.2. Replacing a Fan Tray
The I-Gate 4000 PRO allows you to easily replace fan trays when required. for
example, when a fan failure occurs in a fan tray.
Note
: If a fan fails (indicated by the LED alarm indication—red), you must
replace the entire fan tray in which the failed fan resides.
To replace a fan tray:
1. Loosen the two fasteners that connect the failed Fan Tray Unit to the I-Gate
4000 PRO chassis.
2. Slide out the failed Fan Tray Unit.
3. Slide in the replacement/repaired Fan Tray Unit until the 25-pin D-Type
connector (see Figure 7-3) mates securely with the connector on the backplane
of the chassis.
4. Hand-tighten the two fasteners on the front panel of the Fan Tray Unit.
