Your wheelchair is equipped with two, maintenance free batteries (2 x 12V 38Ah). As a conse-
quence it is not necessary to refill the batteries as the filling has been calculated for the whole
life span of the batteries.
Start batteries, used in the automobile industry,are not suitable for your wheelchair.
The batteries may only be charged with the battery charger that has been delivered with your
wheelchair. This battery charger is programmed on the right loading curve in accordance with
your batteries.
It is possible to damage your batteries, or only load them partially, or shorten the lifespan of
the batteries when you use another battery charger, one that has not been designed for your
wheelchair. Please follow the operating instructions of the batteries and the battery charger to
the letter. This is the only way to ensure your own safety and guarantee a long life span for
your batteries.
If you haven't used your batteries for a very long time, part of their power might have been
lost. Contact your dealer to replace the two batteries.
Charging batteries
It is necessary to charge yours batteries every day after use. the condition of the batteries is
indicated at the top of the control unit. Follow the instructions of the battery charger.
If you use your wheelchair unfrequently, you should connect the batteries, in order to charge
them, once a week to keep your wheelchair on stand by mode. If your batteries loose a certain
percentage of their capacity, you should contact your dealer and have them replaced.
As soon as you connect your battery charger to your batteries, all driving capabilities will be
blocked. You can monitor the charging process by looking at the LED’s at the control unit or
the LED at the battery charger.
Removing your batteries
Removing your batteries is fairly simple. Disconnect the plug and open the lid of the Battery
pack. After that, you can easily remove both batteries, one at a time.
